Train first, then the coach
The boards are made for one specific train model and fit its coaches exactly. The train’s page shows the right board for every coach – intermediate car, driving car, restaurant car, motor car.
Complete set or one by one
Converting a whole train costs less with the complete set than with the boards one by one. Single boards are for add-on coaches, or when only one coach should get light.
What does “-S” mean?
Motor car and power car boards come with and without pickup switching. Computer-controlled layouts without power breaks at signals do not need it – both pickups then take power. Where signals control the train, the version with -S is needed: it switches from the front to the rear pickup by relay.
Decoder and fitting
The motor and driving car boards have a 21-pin interface; the decoder is not included. Which one fits, and how to fit the board, is explained step by step in each board’s installation guide.
